San Diego Botanic Garden

Quail Botanical Gardens Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1970 to preserve and support what is now known as San Diego Botanic Garden. The mission of the Garden is to "inspire people of all ages to connect with plants and nature." The Garden works to conserve rare and endangered plants and their ecosystems; promote sustainable use of natural resources; to collect beautiful, fascinating and /or significant plants and display them in attractive gardens for recreation and learning; to educate the public about plants and their vital role in human lives and in the natural environment; to provide a peaceful setting for the public to experience nature's beauty; to encourage the presence of indigenous wildlife; and to preserve significant historic plantings and structures in the gardens.
