Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin

Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin is dedicated to easing the burden of families whose lives have been disrupted as a result of their child's illness or injury. We provide a home away from home. Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families of seriously ill or injured children. Since our doors opened in 1984, more than 49,000 families have called the Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee home. In 2014 we completed a major expansion, so now we have 70 rooms available families. In 2019, we served 2,951 families for 21,596 nights. Our very full House experienced an 87% occupancy rate, forcing us to delay 277 families for 44 days. In 2021, we launched another expansion project to better serve the growing need for our services. This expansion will include 14 new long-term guest family rooms, indoor & outdoor multi-ability play areas and more community gathering space for family programming and other activities.
