Oregon Natural Desert Association

Oregon Natural Desert Association's mission is to protect, defend and restore Oregon's high desert. Working in partnership with more than 10,000 members and supporters, ONDA is the only group dedicated exclusively to the conservation of Oregon's high desert public lands. Our work includes championing land protection, speaking out for fish and wildlife and restoring vital high desert habitat. ONDA was instrumental in creating the first three desert wilderness areas in Oregon, and our work has protected and restored hundreds of miles of rivers and millions of acres of public land. ONDA is committed to ensuring Oregon's most beautiful and ecologically-vital high desert public lands are permanently protected, home to diverse populations of wildlife, and available for people to enjoy forever. Current initiatives are focused in the Central Oregon Backcountry, the John Day River basin, the Greater Hart Sheldon Landscape and the Owyhee Canyonlands.
