Lighthouse of Broward County

Founded in 1973, the Lighthouse of Broward (LHOB) serves visually impaired children, youth, working-age adults, and elders as the primary resource for services and information for the blind in Broward County. As the only source in Broward County for comprehensive rehabilitation training and adaptive computer training for adults with visual impairment, LHOB also is the only local facility in our county offering services for skills training, job preparation, placement, and counseling for adults seeking to return to work. We also recently launched the WorkForce Solutions program that provides job opportunities such as Light Manufacturing, Web Accessibility and, Contact Center. Every day, we strive to further our mission to provide the leadership, services, advocacy, and resources necessary to enhance the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired in Broward County and empower them to live independent, healthy, employed, and fulfilling lives.
