Givat Haviva Educational Foundation

Givat Haviva Educational Foundation is a nonprofit that supports the Center for a Shared Society at Givat Haviva, an Israeli NGO whose mission is to bridge the gap between Israel's Jewish and Arab citizens and to put forth the building blocks of an Israeli Shared Society. Givat Haviva was founded in 1949 as the national education center of the Kibbutz Federation. It is dedicated to promoting mutual responsibility, civic equality, and understanding between Israel's Jewish and Arab citizens. Givat Haviva's Jewish-Arab Center for Peace, founded in 1963, is one of Israel's oldest institutions promoting Jewish-Arab reconciliation and peace education. A leader in its field, Givat Haviva was awarded the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education for its longstanding work in promoting Jewish-Arab dialogue and was granted Special Consultative Status to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in 2018.
